Shaun White waved an emotional farewell to Olympic competition as he finished fourth in the snowboard men’s halfpipe at Beijing 2022.
The 35-year-old American announced before the Olympics that he would retire after this competition. He won gold in Turin 2006, Vancouver 2010 and PyeongChang 2018 and finished fourth in Sochi 2014.
In his final Olympic Games at Beijing 2022 he missed out on a podium finish as Hirano Ayumu (JPN), Scotty James (AUS) and Jan Scherrer (SUI) took the medals.
