NFL Playoffs – The Pros and Cons of the Halftime Show

The National Football League (NFL) is in its first week of the highly anticipated playoff season. With upsets, blow-outs, and recurring wild card trends, fans all over the country are rooting for their favorite teams. The best part about the NFL playoffs is if you don’t have cable like me, you are guaranteed to see every game. For hardcore fans it’s crucial to see every team. And if that’s not enabled, to be able to see game highlights is definitely a must. That is one advantage to playoff game half-time shows. While they’re necessary for both fans and the players, half-time shows can be both beneficial and a nuisance.

Jets Are the Dark Horse of 2010 NFL Playoffs

The New York Jets pulled off an unexpected upset victory in Cincinnati against the Bengals, derailing their hopes of a deeper run into the post season. Instead, the Jets will be advancing to face one of the AFC’s top seeds in the divisional playoff round. Who they play will depend on how Baltimore fares against New England, but they’ll either end up competing at Indianapolis against Peyton Manning and the Colts, or at San Diego against a red hot Chargers team that has won its last 11 games.

How the Bengals Can Beat the Jets

Many would think that the Bengals should beat the Jets relatively easily when the two teams play in the wild card round this Saturday. Odds makers have Cincinnati favored to win by a few points, but they do predict a close game. A keen football fan would realize that this game is anything but a lock.
