On July 31st, 2021, the women’s rugby 7s final took place at the Tokyo Stadium at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. New Zealand managed to beat France by 26-12 to crown themselves Olympic champions!
It was a dominant performance of team New Zealand, led by Blyde, Broughton, Fluhler, and Nathan-Wong, that took their first ever Olympic title. Olympic history in the books!
