In this video Jay outlines two methods you can use to remove your bicycle pedals. These methods should work whether you have clipless pedals or flats. These techniques will work on nearly every style of bike though Jay will demonstrate them using a mountain bike.

The tools you will need are pretty basic and depend on what type of pedals you have. You’ll need:

A 6mm or 8mm hex key wrench (depending on the pedals)

A pedal wrench or a 15mm/17mm low profile standard wrench (depending on the pedals)

Paper towel/rag and grease/anti-seize compound.
