We bring you the full highlights of the women’s shot put final from the Olympic Games 2020 in Tokyo.

Gong Lijiao from China won her first gold medal at the Olympic Games in Tokyo, in her fourth Olympic appearance. In the shot put, she achieved a personal best with a distance of 20.58 metres.
American Raven Saunders came second with a distance of 19.79 metres. Bronze was won by Valerie Adams from New Zealand, who threw 19.62 metres.
