Brigette Lacquette | NHL Celebrates Gender Equality Month

For Gender Equality Month, we spotlight former Canadian Olympian and current Pro Scout for the Chicago Blackhawks Brigette Lacquette. Brigette discusses her lifelong journey from a rural First Nations community in Manitoba to becoming the first indigenous female to make the Canadian Womenโ€™s Olympic hockey team and later becoming a Pro Scout in the NHL.
We caught up with Lacquette during the NHL indigenous Alumni tour in Saskatchewan, where she continues to be an inspiration for future indigenous kids.
