The Netherlands ended their gold medal drought in the men’s track cycling by winning the team sprint event at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. They set an Olympic Record time of 41.369 seconds, becoming World and Olympic champions and putting an end to Great Britain’s dominance in the men’s team sprint, who held the previous Olympic record at Rio 2016.
